After desperate community-wide search, Lorne Hamer-Jackson found safe

KAMLOOPS — After nearly three days of searching, hoping and praying, a Kamloops family is able to shed tears of relief.

58-year-old Lorne Hamer-Jackson, missing since Saturday night, has been found safe.

According to a social media post from Dallas Cassidy, a member of Hamer-Jackson’s family, the Kamloops man was located Tuesday evening.

The social media post does not discuss details of how he was found.

Hamer-Jackson was reported missing Sunday, and RCMP joined family members in fanning out across the city and region. He was believed to be driving his wife’s car, and descriptions of both Hamer-Jackson and the car were distributed to media.
