Celebrating Community at the PG Annual Punjabi Cultural Event
Every summer, the PG Annual Punjabi Cultural Event Association brings together athletes, families, and community members for two days of celebration in Prince George. This vibrant event, held on July 5th 2025, highlights the values of sportsmanship, competition, healthy lifestyles, and inclusivity—values that reflect the spirit of Northern BC and the mission of Integris Credit Union. The event was free to attend and made possible through the dedication of local volunteers and business sponsors. Guests enjoyed a full weekend of sporting competitions, cultural activities, and meals shared together. In addition to daily lunch and dinner provided by local businesses, attendees were welcomed with unlimited bottled water, sports drinks, soft drinks, and chai tea. This ensured that everyone stayed hydrated, comfortable, and included, without facing additional costs. Integris Credit Union was proud to support this annual event through a Community Investment Grant, which helped cover the costs of the beverage budget. This contribution reduced the financial pressure on local business sponsors and allowed the event organizers to focus on what mattered most: creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive experience for everyone. By keeping the event accessible to all, the PG Annual Punjabi Cultural Event strengthened community connections, highlighted cultural pride, and created a true sense of belonging in Prince George. 📍 To learn more about the PG Annual Punjabi Cultural Event Association and how they continue to bring people together each year, visit: 👉 https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61562249014370Every summer, the PG Annual Punjabi Cultural Event Association brings together athletes, families, and community members for two days of celebration in Prince George. Celebrating McBride Pioneer Days and Our Grand Opening, June 7th 2025
On June 7th, 2025, the streets of McBride came alive with community spirit during Pioneer Days, and for Integris Credit Union, it was an especially meaningful day. Not only did we join in the celebration with the community, but we also officially opened the doors to our brand-new McBride branch. The day began with excitement as members of the Integris Board of Directors, leadership team, and staff traveled to the Robson Valley to take part in the festivities. Led by a special “social media takeover” from our Corporate Secretary Director, Tim Bennett, we shared the journey with our members online as the day unfolded—from the morning drive into McBride to the final moments of celebration. The morning kicked off with the Pioneer Days Parade, where our team was thrilled to walk alongside local organizations, wave to familiar faces, and experience the warm hospitality that makes McBride so special. The sun was shining, the streets were full, and the energy of the day set the perfect stage for what came next. At 12:30 pm, we officially opened our new branch at 210 Main Street with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community celebration. The event was attended by Village of McBride Mayor Gene Runtz, Regional District of Fraser-Fort George Director Dannielle Allen, Integris Board Vice Chairperson Cheryl Wallace, and CEO Alison Hoskins-Fish. Alison was proud to present an award to the McBride team from the BC Economic Development Association, recognizing the branch as a 2025 Award Winner for Communities Under 10,000. No Integris event would be complete without our ICUBBQ, which fired up to serve burgers and lunch to guests throughout the afternoon. To add even more fun, attendees had the chance to enter a draw to win a brand-new BBQ. From the parade, to the ribbon cutting, to the BBQ, the day reflected what Integris is all about: being present, building connections, and celebrating community. We are incredibly thankful for the warm welcome from McBride and the Robson Valley. This new branch is more than a building—it is a commitment to being your local financial institution, here to support your goals, your families, and your community. 📍 Stop by and see us at 210 Main Street, McBride.
