Sunrise Records joins Marshalls as future Aberdeen Mall tenants

KAMLOOPS — Aberdeen Mall is filling one of its vacancies with a record store.

On social media this morning, the mall announced it will add Sunrise Records to the upper level this fall.

Sunrise Records is an Ontario-based chain operating in nine provinces. It undertook a major expansion in 2017, moving into 70 former HMV locations, including Orchard Park Mall in Kelowna.

Aberdeen Mall has not confirmed an opening date.

The news comes on the heels of news that American-based department store Marshalls will move into a portion of the former Sears location.

Marshalls is a division of TJX, the owners of Winners and Homesense.

Aberdeen Mall has not divulged plans for the remainder of the former Sears space, though the space has undergone significant renovations since winter.
