NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. — Delegates to the B-C Green Party’s weekend convention in New Westminster heard that the party received more than 710-thousand dollars in donations last year.
Treasurer Aird Flavelle noted it was a record amount for the party in a year with no election.
The party also received 830-thousand dollars from the B-C government as a result of its electoral performance, after the government introduced campaign finance reforms that banned corporate and union donations, and limited individual contributions.
