Classics dominate own invitationial swim meet

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Classic Swim Team hosted the 3rd Annual TRU WolfPack Inv Swim Meet June 7 – 9, 2019.

The meet hosted 502 swimmers from 23 clubs from Alberta, Northwest Territories, Yukon and BC.

The Classics won the meet, winning a total of 74 Medals (30 Gold, 23 Silver and 21 Bronze) and had 4 new club records set. Outstanding performances have included:

Sienna Angove in the 11-12 Girls age group winning 6 events in the 100/200 Breaststrokes, 200 IM, 50/200 Freestyles and 200 Back while setting a new club record in the 200 Backstroke.

Ryley McRae in the 15 & over Boys age won 4 gold medals in the 200 Fly & 100/200/400 Freestyles.

Ryder Litke (12) in the 11-12 Boys won 3 gold medals in the 50/200 Breaststrokes and 100 Fly while seting a new club record in the 200 Breaststroke.

Jake Gysel in the 13 – 14 Boys age group won 50/100/200 Breaststroke events.

Ethan Jensen in the 15 & over Boys age Group won 3 gold medals in the 50/100 Flys and 400 IM.

An additional new Club Record were set by Jackson Litke (16) in the 15 & Over Boys 50 Back, and Shale Maurice (10) in the 10 & Girls 50 Fly.
