KAMLOOPS — Highway passes in the Southern Interior will be hit with some overnight snow.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for several highways across the province, including the Coquihalla from Hope to Kamloops.

Flurries will begin overnight and continue into Friday morning (June 7).

Environment Canada says flurries are expected above 1,300 to 1,500 metre elevation, but flurries could briefly go lower during intense flurry activity.

Most passes are forecast to receive two to five centimetres of wet snow overnight through tomorrow morning, with a higher amount of up to 10 centimetres possible over the Okanagan Connector.

The air mass will warm up into Friday and the snow will turn back to rain.
