Officer, K-9 partner and semi driver rushed to hospital after crash

KELOWNA — A Kelowna RCMP officer, his K-9 partner and a semi driver were all rushed for medical treatment following an accident on Highway 33 near Loseth last evening.
Police say the officer was responding to a call, and sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. His dog was taken to a vet for assessment, while the truck driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The eastbound lanes on Highway 33 were closed for a number of hours for the investigation.
