KAMLOOPS — Three fires that popped up in the Savona area after a storm rolled through on Thursday are almost completely extinguished.
B.C. Wildfire Information Officer Taylor MacDonald says lightning is the suspected cause of the small spot-fires, which prompted both ground and air response.
“We’ve had really great success on those ones so far,” MacDonald said. “Two of them are currently out, and one of them is being held at this time. And, the one that’s being held is just a spot-sized fire.”
