Police release more information into Kamloops home invasion

KAMLOOPS — Police in Kamloops are urging the public to come forward with information about a home invasion.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says just before 4:00 a.m. Sunday (May 26) officers responded to a home on Carson Crescent, near McDonald Park.

Shelkie says surveillance video showed a newer GMC 2500 diesel truck arrive at the home. There was a tidy tank in the back, and chrome covers on the front grill.

Three men got out of the truck, Shelkie says. They all wore gloves and had their faces covered.

One man wore a hoodie that said “chosen few” on the back. A suspect carried a sledge hammer and the other two men appeared to be carrying guns as they entered the house.

Several minutes later, Shelkie says, the three suspects left the house, got back into the truck and drove away, heading toward Lilac Avenue.

A man from the home was taken to hospital with not life-threatening injuries. Police believe it was a targeted attack.

If you have any information, call Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
