Here’s what Netflix has in store for June
June is typically the beginning of summer blockbusters at the theatre, and with several Netflix originals, a new season of Black Mirror, and one of the coolest animated films I’ve seen in a while, Netflix certainly isn’t falling behind with its new additions next month.
Despite getting a lot of flack for the quantity (and quality) of movies he has been pumping out lately, Adam Sandler does provide viewers with fun, celebrity packed flicks. Take for example The Do-Over, not a great story line but I will admit I was entertained. So that’s why one of my picks for this month is Murder Mystery, with Jennifer Aniston. It might be one of those “I can’t decide on anything else so I’m just going to give this a try” movies, but hey, I’ll still take my chances.
If you watched the Oscars this year and paid attention to the Animated Feature Film category then you’ll know all about my next pick: Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. This new take on the webbed superhero received great reviews from fans and critics alike, and even scored 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. I was so eager to see this movie that I bought it on Blu-ray, but you can check it out June 26.
