Venom holding lead in TOJLL standings with 5 game win streak

KAMLOOPS — In the Thompson-Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League last night (May 25), the Kamloops Venom closed off the week with another win at Memorial Arena.

The junior lacrosse team is still on top of the TOJLL standings, now with 5 wins in a row.

Holding on to an early lead, the Venom blew past the South Okanagan Flames 18-8 to follow up their Thursday night win (16-4).

Kordell Primus led the Kamloops charge with 6 goals, 3 assists for the night, followed by Trey Dergousoff with 4 goals, 2 assists, and Mykl Drabiuk with 3 goals, 1 assist.

Kaden Dempsey, Callum Gorman, John Black, Bill Brewer, Drew Bannister, Zack Hebden, Zack Kuan, and Ryan Wightman all were on the scoreboard as well.

Goaltender Ethan Milobar had 37 saves on 45 shots in net.

Next home game for the Venom is June 15th from Memorial Arena- taking on the Flames again.
