Kamloops Blaze U18 Girls Win Silver in Slurpee Cup
The Kamloops Blaze U18 Girls won silver in the Slurpee Cup on the weekend.
The Blaze had a perfect record after the first three games:
– Beat Williams Lake 1-0
– Beat Victoria 2-0
– Beat Kootenay 3-1
However they let up slightly at the beginning of the final game against Langley and allowed 2 goals against in the first half. Despite dominating for the remainder of the game and setting up many chances, the Blaze failed to get a goal and ended up losing 2-0 to Langley. The Blaze finished second for the tournament.
Sadie Moyer was the keeper for all games and Kamloops goals were scored by: Fiona Brisco (2G), Emily Clark (2G), Anika Black (1G), and Natalie Knight (1G).
