One taken to hospital after vehicle roll over temporarily shuts down Trans Canada

KAMLOOPS — One person was taken to hospital last night, following a vehicle rollover that temporarily shut down the Trans Canada Highway.

Kamloops Fire Rescue Platoon Captain Ken Hartt says one vehicle rolled over into a ditch on the westbound side of Highway 1, just before the Peterson Creek Bridge.

“The car flipped on to its roof, and crews used extraction tools to remove the patient, and BC Ambulance took the person to the hospital. RCMP had the highway shut down for some time, but crews cleared after about an hour.”

Hartt says RCMP likely have the cause under investigation but its not clear what caused the car to flip.
