KAMLOOPS — A man who helped in his own arrest by disclosing his location to CFJC Today has been sentenced to 14 days in jail.
Jessie Dean Kowalchuk was also given one year’s probation. Kowalchuk was featured on CFJC Today as one of the Kamloops Crime Stoppers Most Wanted fugitives.
He subsequently contacted CFJC, telling us in a mocking message that he had been living in Edmonton for three years, and saying RCMP had “missed the boat” on arresting him.
