Plenty to see at 4th annual Green Living Expo

KAMLOOPS — It’s a big day at the Sandman Centre.

The City’s 4th annual Green Living Expo runs from 10:00 a.m- 4:00 p.m today (May 11).

Sustainability Educator Jaime Garbutt says the idea of the Expo is to focus on healthy, sustainable living and showcase options for the roughly 2,000 people in attendance.

“We definitely have seen an increase in popularity, more interest, and more vendors, so it’s definitely growing,” She says, “We all need little tips and tricks here and there to make more sustainable choices.”

A series of speakers, workshops and visitor booths highlight the day, alongside a food truck Festival, Kid Zone, Iron Chef competition and fashion show.

Garbutt says people can even test drive an electric vehicle.
