May 10, 2019 | 5:49 AM

KAMLOOPS — The TRU WolfPack have opened the Canadian College Baseball championship at McArthur Island with a come from behind win over Edmonton Collegiate.

Trailing 6-0 the WolfPack scored six times in the bottom of the fifth, adding another in the sixth inning and two more in the seventh for a 9-6 win.

Tyler Hodder nipped any Edmonton rally thoughts by striking out the side in the 8th. CCBC pitcher of the year Tyler Moskalyk then closed it out in the top of the 9th.

In other games yesterday Edmonton Collegiate opened the tournament with a 4-3 win over the PBA Dawgs, the Calgary Dinos downed the Fraser Valley Cascades 7-4, the defending champion Okanagan Coyotes won back-to-back big score games, defeating Vancouver Island 26-0 and Calgary 12-1.

Today’s schedule has Vancouver Island and Fraser Valley playing at ten in an elimination game in the modified double knockout tournament format.

The winner will play another survival game at 1pm against Calgary. Another knockout game at 4pm has Edmonton against PBA.

The WolfPack have the day off before playing in a semi final Saturday at 1pm against the Okanagan Coyotes.

The final is a best of three starting Saturday night with game two, and a third if necessary on Saturday.
