KAMLOOPS — WolfPack baseball defeated the Fraser Valley Cascades 6-4 in the final game of the regular season Monday afternoon, to clinch first place in the Canadian College Baseball Conference.

TRU did all of its scoring in one inning — ralling from a 1-0 deficit, and keyed by Liam Shibata’s bases loaded triple in a six run 6th.

Tyler Moskalyk tossed a complete game to finish the regular season at 7-and-0.

The WolfPack had gone into the game at 20-and-7, a half game behind the 21-7 Okanagan Coyotes.

The WolfPack and Coyotes finish the regular season 21-and-7, but the WolfPack take the tie break on runs for and against in the season series against Okanagan.

TRU will play its first game in the Canadian College Championship tournament Thursday night at seven at Norbrock.

Prior to the start of the championship tournament the Conference will have a home run derby and hand out the league awards and name all-star teams Wednesday night at Norbrock.

The WolfPack will be looking for their first championship in ten years.
