Arson Suspected

RCMP suspect arsonist at work in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE – Mounties in Williams Lake are investigating an arson at a nightclub in that community.

The fire was discovered by staff late Thursday evening in the rear of the building. The nightclub was quickly evacuated while firefighters doused the flames. The severity of the blaze is not clear but there are no reports of injuries.

Police are hoping to speak with anyone who may have information about the person or people responsible for the fire.

Just last week police were called to the same nightclub following a report of shots being fired. However RCMP will not say whether the two incidents are connected.
