City of Kamloops, RCMP asking drivers to slow down in construction zones

KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops and the Kamloops RCMP have put out a joint public safety statement regarding drivers in construction zones.

The statement says both agencies recognize that local road work projects are impacting motorists and pedestrians.

“The RCMP and the City consider the safety and the well-being of residents a top priority,” the statement reads. “We ask that motorists slow down, obey signs and flaggers, and use extra caution in construction zones.

“Road works projects are necessary to maintain safe and efficient travel for residents and visitors. Please be patient. We are all in this together.”
