Three arrested after shots fired from vehicle in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Three people are in custody after reports of shots fired in Prince George.

On Thursday (May 2) around 3:20 am, Prince George RCMP received a report of multiple gunshots near the corner of the John Hart Highway and Shady Lane.

Police were told the shots were coming from a vehicle driving southbound on the highway.

RCMP found the suspect vehicle near the intersection of 15th Avenue and Alward Street.

Officers detained the three adult occupants, two men and a woman.

A search warrant was obtained and executed on the vehicle and a loaded handgun was found.

The 19-year-old female driver, 35-year-old male passenger and 32-year-old male passenger were arrested for firearms-related offences and held in custody overnight.

According to RCMP, no clear target of this shooting has been located.

Officers are continuing to investigate and are seeking the public’s help.
