Kamloops building sector ramped up in April

KAMLOOPS — April is often the month when the construction industry begins to ramp up in Kamloops — and this year was no exception.

New numbers from the City of Kamloops Building Inspection Division show $32.1 million in permits issued last month. That doubles the amount of activity that took place during the first three months of the year to $64.3 million.

The year-to-date total is still lagging behind 2018’s record-setting pace. Last year saw $77.2 million in permits issued at the end of April.
