KAMLOOPS — Real estate sales continued slower in Kamloops last month.

According to new statistics from the Kamloops and District Real Estate Association, 272 homes changed hands in the Kamloops area last month. That’s down 12.5 per cent compared to April of 2018.

Year-to-date sales are trending 5.4 per cent behind the same time period last year.

While the median sales price eclipsed $500,000 for the first time in March, it dipped back down to $475,000 in April.

The hottest real estate market in the city was Brocklehurst with 31 sales last month, far ahead of Aberdeen and Sahali, which tied for second with 20 sales each.
