RCMP ask public for dashcam footage as they probe fatal cement truck crash

SUN PEAKS, B.C. — Police in Kamloops are asking for the public’s help in furthering their investigation into a fatal crash.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a news release that anyone who was driving on the Heffley-Louis Creek Road between 8:15 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. on April 29 and has dashcam footage is asked to contact Kamloops Rural RCMP.

Yesterday morning, emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle rollover in the ditch along the road, east of Lake Bay Road.

A cement truck was on its roof, and the driver was trapped inside.

Once he was extricated, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
