Kamloops — The Kamloops Venom defeated the Vernon Tigers 14-9 to sweep their season opening weekend in the Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League. Callum Gorman and Tanner Koroluk both had hattricks for the Venom and both had nine points in the game. Gorman finished the weekend with five goals and 15 points after scoring twice and setting up four more in a season opening 15-12 win over South Okanagan on Saturday.
