2019 Free Disposal Days

Free disposal days begin for TNRD residents

THOMPSON NICOLA — Over the next few weeks, Thompson Nicola Regional District residents can utilize free disposal days.

Users can dispose of items such as cooling appliances, tires on rims, mattresses, furniture, demolition/construction waste, wood waste, roofing shingles, and household garbage.

Residents are being reminded to strap or tarp down all loads to ensure materials aren’t spread where they aren’t supposed to go. Unsecured loads can result in fines.

On event days, residents can drop off at their local Eco-Depot or Transfer Station, provided guidelines are adhered to.

-One free load per household (defined as a maximum of one 8 foot pick-up truck box OR one 8’ foot trailer.)

-TNRD residential customers only

-Regular disposal fees apply for all business/commercial loads.
