Kordic leaving Blazers after one season

KAMLOOPS — Dan Kordic won’t be returning to the Kamloops Blazers as an assistant coach in the 2019-20 season.

Kordic’s departure comes two weeks after head coach Serge Lajoie left.

Lajoie and Kordic came to the Blazers before last season as a package — having worked together for the previous three seasons with the USPORTS University of Alberta Golden Bears.

Both Lajoie and Kordic spent the season in Kamloops while their families remained in Edmonton.
