CHERRY JONES, PABLO SCHRIEBER, MORE JOIN CHRIS EVANS DRAMA: Cherry Jones, Pablo Schreiber, Betty Gabriel and Sakina Jaffrey will co-star in Apple TV‘s legal and family drama dubbed Defending Jacob. Chris Evans leads the cast of the limited series, which centers on a prosecutor who learns his 14-year-old son is suspected of killing a classmate.

IDRIS ELBA JOINS SUICIDE SQUAD 2: But not as Deadshot. Idris Elba has been rumored as a possible replacement in Will Smith‘s Deadshot role in Suicide Squad 2, but instead, he will play a new character. Deadline reports that the Deadshot character won’t appear in the next film, which James Gunn will direct. The film is expected to drop August 6, 2021.

DAVE BAUTISTA TO STAR IN ZACK SNYDER’S ARMY OF THE DEAD: Dave Bautista has signed on to star in Army of the Dead, a $70 million zombie heist film directed by Zack Snyder. Shay Hatten and Snyder penned the script. The adventure takes place amid a zombie attack in Las Vegas.

WESTWORLD CREATORS INK NINE-FIGURE DEAL WITH AMAZON: Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonah Nolan behind the HBO hit have signed a nine-figure, four-year overall deal with Amazon, rumored to be worth upward of $30 million a year. Season three is currently in production, set to debut in 2020, and the drama has yet to renewed, but if it does, they will remain on board.
