The Royals Join Instagram

Meghan Markle is back on social media! The Duchess of Sussex had to delete her personal social media accounts before her May wedding to Prince Harry, per royal protocol, but she and her hubby are back on the ‘Gram, much to the delight of their fan-base.

The timing-shortly before their firstborn is due-couldn’t be better. The handle is @sussexroyal. A source tells People that the pair will use the account for work and personal moments.

They captioned their very first post, which was a text photo with their royal monogram: “Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues. We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal.”- Harry & Meghan.

They also shared nine photos of behind-the-scenes moments from their royal tour to Australia in the fall, Harry working with members of the military and elephants, and Meghan with the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen.

While they’re piling on thousands of followers seemingly by the minute, they only follow three accounts so far: ClarenceHouse, KensingtonRoyal and TheRoyalFamily.
