AVENGERS: ENDGAME PRESALES BLAST OFF: Avengers: Endgame tickets went on sale Tuesday and Atom Tickets is reporting that in the first hour alone, the movie has set a record for the mobile ticket retailer, Deadline reports. Endgame has sold three times the tickets on Atom in the first hour of presales than Avengers: Infinity War sold last year. It also outstrips presales for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Fandango also reports strong sales, and some ticket buying sites (such as AMC) are crashing due to the high volume. Disney‘s Avengers: Endgame opens on April 26.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO SCORES ANOTHER TAX WIN: Leonardo DiCaprio seems to be the Golden State’s Golden Boy. After the film he is co-starring in with Brad Pitt, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, was awarded $18 million from California’s $330 million annual incentives program, the news came down the pike that his Appian Way shingle has snagged $18.5 million for the live-action version of Akira from Warner Bros. The film is set to work exclusively in California and is projected to generate $43 million in wages to 200 below-the-line crew members and 5,000 extras in 71 days of filming.

THE WALKING DEAD FINALE RATINGS PLUMMET: The ratings for the Season 9 finale of The Walking Dead took a hit with Sunday’s “The Storm.” Having pulled in 5 million viewers overall and 2.4 million in the 18-49 demographic for a 1.9 rating, TWD fell to an all-time finale low with the March 31 Greg Nicotero-direct episode, Deadline reports. Compared to Season 8’s finale, there was a 37% drop in viewers.

UMBRELLA ACADEMY RENEWED: Netflix is bringing Umbrella Academy back for a second season. Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castaneda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher and Justin Min are set to return for the sophomore season, which will consist of 10 episodes. Mary J. Blige is not returning (she will had a one-year contract). Additional stars will be announced at a later date, as will the return date for the second season.
