JOHN LEGEND TO PRODUCE ‘LOVE AT FIRST SONG’ MUSIC-DATING REALITY SHOW: John Legend’s Get Lifted Film Co. is partnering with American Idol producer Simon Lythgoe’s Legacy Productions and Critical Content to produce the new reality show Love at First Song. The show “creates couples through emotional performances in which single singers “virtually” rehearse a romantic duet, then reveal themselves and their potential chemistry during performance. These couples then live together, practice together, perform and compete together, but may swap partners in every episode – for love or music,” Deadline reports. Love at First Song originally debuted in South Korea to huge success and now John and his new partners want to bring the show to the U.S.
JULIA MICHAELS & NIALL HORAN STRIP DOWN ‘WHAT A TIME’ DUET IN NEW ACOUSTIC VIDEO: Julia Michaels and Niall Horan have released a video for a new acoustic version of their “What a Time” duet. he song comes from Michaels’ Inner Monologue Part 1 EP, released in January. The new rendition finds Michaels and Horan mourning a relationship that crumbled away. Michaels is currently touring the United States on her first-ever solo headlining trek, while also opening for P!nk’s Beautiful Trauma World Tour.
RITA ORA LAUNCHES HER ESCADA HANDBAG COLLECTION: Rita Ora welcomed an intimate group of friends to dinner Wednesday night in celebration of the launch of her own design of Escada’s Heart Bag. The singer-songwriter was tapped as an Escada brand ambassador earlier this year, and the release of her Heart Bag serves as the kickoff for this partnership. To honor Ora’s love for the color, the Heart Bag is a vibrant red – signifying strength and passion. “I really wanted to feel like the history of Escada was in the design of the bag. I went back and looked at many past designs. . . . I wanted consistency throughout,” she said. Ahead of the party, Rita took to Instagram to celebrate her new bag. “Made for a woman, by a woman! Discover the @escadaofficial #RitaESCADA #EscadaHeartBag!!! Welcome to my official launch event! I’m so proud of this amazing design and I’m so happy to share it with you.
