BC Coroners Service launches new tool to help identify human remains
KAMLOOPS — A new tool launched by the BC Coroners Service is aiming to bring closure to dozens of cold cases across the province.
The service launched a new interactive tool displaying key information on active unidentified human remains cases in B.C., with an aim to generate new leads that will help close these investigations.
The interactive map contains information on each case, from age, to gender, to tattoos and clothing.
It shows a visual overview of the rough location where the remains were found, case numbers for contact purposes, and a summary of the key information related to each of the more than 200 unresolved cases in B.C.
