LAURA LINNEY, TERRY CHAN, HANNAH GROSS JOIN VIGGO MORTENSON’S DEBUT: Three-time Oscar-nominated Laura Linney, Hannah Gross and Terry Chen have joined Viggo Mortenson‘s directorial debut, Falling. Shooting is underway in Toronto. Mortenson wrote the script and also stars, along with Lance Henriksen (Aliens) and Sverrir Gudnason (The Girl In The Spider’s Web). He plays John Peterson, a gay man whose father moves from his farm to live with his son’s family.

GOT DROPS SEASON 8 POSTER: HBO has dropped the official poster for Game of Thrones, season 8. The art will grace outdoor advertising, print ads and, eventually, the DVD box cover. And yes, it’s a scorcher: a dragon melding with the Iron Throne. The final season drops April 14th.

ONLINE VIDEO SUBSCRIBERS OUTNUMBER CABLE SUBSCRIBERS NOW: Global subscriptions to online services like Netflix and Amazon have exceeded cable subscriptions for the first time, the MPAA reports (via THR). Streaming services added 131.2 million new subscriptions, for a total of 613.3 million. Meanwhile, cable subscriptions fell 2% to 556 million. Are you more of a streamer or cable fan?

NOAH CENTINEO TO PLAY HE-MAN?: Noah Centineo is in talks to take on the He-Man role in Sony and Mattel‘s Masters of the Universe. Brothers Adamand Aaron Nee are directing. The show is based on Mattel’s toy line, which spawned a successful animated TV show and a 1987 film.
