Opening of sports fields just around the corner for Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Spring has sprung, which means sports fields in Kamloops will be opening soon.

The City says in a news release that the rugby pitch at Exhibition Park will open this Saturday, and minor baseball fields will open April 1.

Slo-pitch, soccer, and all school district fields will open April 13.

The tennis and pickleball courts at Riverside and Exhibition parks will open next week, with all other courts opening by April 1.

While all nature trails are open for the season, the City says snowmelt means many of the trails are still muddy, and residents are asked to avoid them until they dry up.
