Two Kamloops schools among 50 in B.C. to receive new playgrounds

KAMLOOPS — Two Kamloops schools are among fifty across the province who will get new playgrounds, after a provincial government announcement today.
The education ministry will spend $90,000 each for new standard playgrounds at Aberdeen Elementary School and École Collines d’Or in Westmount.
The total announcement today is $5 million for the fifty new playgrounds in 34 districts through the province’s Playground Equipment Program.
Among the other playground recipients is Kumsheen Elementary/Secondary school in Lytton, which will receive an accessible playground valued at $105,000.
