Hundreds of safety violations in three-day Southern Interior road blitz
KAMLOOPS — More than 650 traffic tickets have been issued after a road blitz targeting drivers in the Kamloops, Barriere and Chase areas.
Between March 4 to March 6, BC RCMP Traffic Services and Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement (CVSE) officers conducted the blitz along Highways 1, 5 and 5A, with the goal of enhancing road safety.
During the campaign, both commercial and personal vehicles were checked resulting in 655 tickets representing 44 different infractions.
