OZ ACTOR GEORGE MORFOGEN DIES: Veteran stage actor who is best known for portraying the inmate Bob Rebadow on HBO‘s Oz has died at age 86. Morfogen also appeared in several films directed by Peter Bogdanovich, including What’s Up Doc? (1972), Daisy Miller (1974), At Long Last Love (1975), Saint Jack (1979), They All Laughed (1981), Mask (1985), Illegally Yours (1988) and She’s Funny That Way (2014). He is survived by his husband and life partner of 51 years, Gene, and his nieces Leslie and Amanda.
AMY SCHUMER AND LENA DUNHAM BOND OVER TROLLS: Amy Schumer and Lena Dunham have bonded over the abuse they both receive online. “It’s a pretty specific experience,” Dunham told The New York Times. “Most people don’t know what it’s like to open social media in the morning and hear you are physically, socially and politically worthless.” Dunham tells the Times that Schumer can take it though: “She’s titanium, and part of her skill is the ability to make it look easy.” Schumer is nervous about her upcoming special Growing, on Netflix, which she filmed while pregnant with her and husband Chris Fischer’s first child: “I don’t know what’s going to happen with my special – what’s the thing people will be furious about? It sucks to have everyone mad at me. But I’m not too careful.”
EMILIA CLARKE DROPS ANOTHER GOT HINT: Game of Thrones fan theories are on overdrive as everyone awaits the HBO hit’s final season. Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, Emilia Clarke green-lighted the speculation about her red wardrobe. Clarke said: “There’s a real through line for this particular season, there’s a real arc, and I feel like fans, like hard-core fans, will clock what’s happening within the reflection of the clothing. There’s definitely a story to tell there.” BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
MEGHAN MARKLE, KATE MIDDLETON EMBRACED ON PURPOSE: Earlier this week, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle put royal feud rumors to rest by effusively greeting each other with hugs and cheek-kisses at Commonwealth Day in front of flashing cameras and royal onlookers. According to a source who spoke with Vanity Fair, the decision was deliberate. “They might not have a huge amount in common, but Kate has no issue with Meghan. She wants them to get along, not just for Harry’s sake but because two royal sisters-in-law at loggerheads wouldn’t be good, and Kate knows that,” they said.
