KAMLOOPS — RCMP are investigating a series of break-and-enters in the same Dufferin business complex.

According to Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie, the break-ins happened at about 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday (March 12), in a complex located at 1150 Hillside Drive.

The suspects broke into Wine Kitz and West Coast Beauty Supply through each store’s front door, making off with the cash they found inside.

A third business, Changes Hair Studio, had its front door lock broken, though it doesn’t appear the thieves got inside.

A pair of suspects appear on surveillance camera.

The man and woman were both wearing dark clothing and make off in a dark-coloured SUV.

Shelkie reminds business owners to secure their cash.

“Our suggestion is for business owners to have limited or no cash in your businesses,” said Shelkie. “If you do, have it locked up in a safe, and the safe secured to a floor or wall so it can’t be removed.”

Anyone with information on the break-ins is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
