More Royal Rumors
Another member of Meghan Markle‘s inner circle is departing, amid persistent rumors-also persistently denied by Kensington Palace-that is difficult to work for. Amy Pickerell is departing amicably, according to a report in People.
This is the third close aide the 37-year-old Duchess has seen go since her marriage to Prince Harry, 34. The leave-taking will happen after Meghan welcomes their first child in late April. Meghan and Harry are also still hoping to move into Frogmore Cottage before the due date, and Pickerell will help them get their things in order, People reports.
Pickerell is Meghan’s private secretary; she started her career at Kensington Palace as a press spokesperson and has been “instrumental in helping the duchess adjust to her new life in the U.K.,” the source tells People.
FAST FACTS:
- Pickerell helped Meghan set up the charity cookbook Together: Our Community Cookbook.
- Most recently, Pickerell joined Meghan at a International Women’s Day event in London.
- Three months ago, Samantha Cohen gave notice that she would be leaving Meghan and Harry’s circle, but because of the time it takes to replace a royal aide, she’ll likely be with them until the end of 2019.
