Jonas Takeover Week

Mar 5, 2019 | 5:00 AM

A week after the Jonas Brothers officially announced that they are getting back together, Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas joined James Corden on last night’s The Late Late Show, appearing throughout the episode, popping up in comedy bits, segments with Dr. Phil and Lior Suchard, and chatting with James.

Sitting down with Corden – for the first night in a week-long celebration of the band that includes games and a new installment of “Carpool Karaoke” in the coming days – Nick explained how the idea to reunite first came about:

“About a year-and-a-half ago, we started filming a documentary… [that] tracks kind of our childhood into our time in the band, and it was gonna be a story about where we are today. With separate lives, doing separate things – Joe with DNCE, me with my solo stuff. But during that time we started to realize that there was a magic that we felt like we were missing. So the process was basically just [us saying], ‘Why don’t we give this a another shot?’ So we started playing a little music together and realized right away this is where we’re meant to be in our lives at this moment.”

The band teamed up with Amazon Studios for the documentary, which will soon be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, although a release date has not yet been announced.

Also during the show, Joe Jonas revealed more details on when he and Sophie Turner will tie the knot, all while poking fun at brothers Nick and Kevin’s weddings:

Joe said his wedding with the Game of Thrones star is happening in the summer of 2019.

“We’re getting married this year. We’re going to have a summer wedding. I’m looking forward to it, it’s going to be a lot of fun,” he said. Apparently, Joe’s expecting the nuptials to get quite rowdy. “We’re going to have a flag rugby game at the wedding, and a flag football game. So if all the groomsmen show up with black eyes and broken arms, I’ll be very proud,” Joe joked, as his fiance’s family is all from England. James then asked Joe, the last bachelor of the brother trio, if he learned anything from Nick and Kevin’s weddings. Joe opted to answer what he learned not to do:

“Mostly things not to do. They were both absolutely beautiful. All 18 of Nick’s was absolutely amazing. So for Kevin, Kevin had a snowstorm during his wedding, so maybe don’t get married in December. I would say, stick to one. One and done.”

Meanwhile, The Jonas Brothers have dropped the director’s cut for their hot new music video “Sucker” Just a few days after releasing their new single, the guys released an extended version of their music video with almost two extra minutes of footage!

The new video also includes a longer opening sequence with the guys and their leading ladies – Priyanka Chopra, Sophie Turner, and Danielle Jonas – driving in a clown car as they arrive at the castle.
