The 25-year-old “7 Rings” singer has 148 million plus followers now, compared with the 26-year-old Gomez’s 146 million plus. In the past four months, she’s gained 13 million new followers. Gomez unseated Taylor Swift in December of 2016. Gomez took a social media break between September and January, explaining that “negative comments” she encountered online gave her anxiety. JENNIFER ESPOSITO CLAPS BACK TO GAGA COMMENT CRITICISM: Bradley Cooper‘s ex is reacting to being slammed for her Instagram commentary. Jennifer Esposito, 45, said that her remark on David Spade’s post (she wrote “Ha”) implying that Cooper and Lady Gaga are an item, was never meant to malign them. She wrote: “You know so many people have been commenting about something that I said which was like this: ‘Ha.’ That was it. And in the way that it has spread. It was towards David Spade’s very outward statement about something about an ex, and I literally laughed at him because he was so bold in what he was saying. I thought it was funny and I’m allowed to think something is funny.” She added that there were “more important” things going on in the world to worry about. “The world is in a crazy place, please go do something positive,” she finished. “Peace.” (People)
