Snowfall contributes to multiple vehicle incidents around Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — While there were no serious injuries during a peppering of vehicle incidents last night (Feb. 22) throughout the city, Kamloops Fire and Rescue is reminding the public to drive to conditions when the snow starts falling.

Captain Wade Lindoff says weather contributed to the majority of incidents they responded to yesterday.

“Pay attention to the weather, and the conditions of the roads when it is snowing like that,” He stresses, “Slow it down, and keep safety first in mind.”

Traffic was slowed on many of the city’s main roads, including a lane of the Trans Canada Highway near Aberdeen Mall, where a semi-truck that wound up partially in the ditch had to be towed.
