PRAGUE, Czech Republic — Canadian flyweight Gillian (The Savage) Robertson improved her UFC record to 3-1-0 Saturday by submitting Venezuelan Veronica Macedo in the second round.

Robertson (6-3-0) stopped Macedo (5-3-1) via rear-naked choke at 3:27 of the second round of the MMA card, the UFC’s first in the Czech capital.

Macedo had a considerable edge in significant strikes but paid for a failed guillotine choke attempt in the second round. Robertson, after an armbar attempt, rolled on top of Macedo, then took her back and locked in the choke.

“I’d love to get back in there as soon as possible,” said the 23-year-old from Niagara Falls, Ont., who trains at Coconut Creek, Fla. “Something more local would be great, because I’ve fought all over the world. I want a fight with (No. 14 contender) Paige VanZant, but if she’s not available I want a top-15 opponent.”

Robertson was coming off a September submission loss to Brazilian Mayra Bueno Silva in Sao Paulo.

In the main event at O2 Arena, Brazilian light-heavyweight Thiago Santos (21-6-0) defeated Poland’s Jan Blachowicz (23-8-0) via third-round TKO before a soldout crowd of 16,583. Ranked No. 6 among 205-contenders, Santos has won four straight and eight of his last nine.

Blachowicz, ranked No. 4, had his four-fight win streak snapped.

Dutch heavyweight Stefan (Skyscraper) Struve (29-11-0) rallied to stop Brazil’s Marcos Rogerio de Lima (16-6-0) via a second-round arm triangle submission in the co-main event. The seven-foot Struve, who took a beating in the first round, hinted after the fight it might be his swan song.
