VANCOUVER — Vancouver Coastal Health is encouraging immunizations as it battles an ongoing measles outbreak.
The health authority says at least nine people have the infection and one visited the BC Children’s Hospital, possibly exposing others.
It warns that measles can be contracted by simply spending a few minutes in the same room as an infected person.
Vaccinations are recommended for any adult or child older than one who has uncertain immunization or disease history.
