Gaga’s New Tattoo
As a Valentine’s Day surprise, Lady Gaga took to Instagram on Thursday to show fans some of her latest ink.
One commemorates A Star Is Born with a huge rose running down the length of her spine and the words “La Vie En Rose” written in script along the stem. “La Vie En Rose” is the first song her character Ally sings in the film, catching the attention of Bradley Cooper’s Jackson Maine. It’s also the song Cooper heard Gaga sing in real life, which convinced him she needed to play the part.
“Happy Valentine’s Day. A tattoo toast to ‘la vie en rose,’” Gaga wrote on Instagram along with a photo of the new ink. “…my spinal cord is now a rose.”
She also got a second tattoo of musical notes spelling out “GAGA” on her forearm. However, the first version of the tattoo was missing the fifth staff line. Gaga quickly got it fixed. “Musical crisis averted,” she wrote. “Too many tequilas forgot the fifth staff line poor thing. Here’s the real deal.”
