O’Reilly topped 2018 election spenders; Christian outspent Turnbull five-to-one

KAMLOOPS — The big spenders were the big winners in last fall’s municipal election – for the most part.

Candidate financing documents released by Elections BC showed Mayor Ken Christian outspent challenger William Turnbull by a factor of five.

Christian reported $17,192.47 in expenses, while Turnbull spent $3,249.73.

Mike O’Reilly was the highest spender in the council race, marking down $23,278.39.
