MILEY CYRUS & SHAWN MENDES REPORTEDLY WORKING ON NEW MUSIC TOGETHER: Miley Cyrus and Shawn Mendes are teaming up for a new single, according to TMZ. The duo are reportedly hard at work putting the finishing touches on their song, which will drop in the coming weeks. Fans began to suspect a collab when Miley posted a photo from Grammys rehearsal and Shawn’s guitar and equipment were in the background. Although it’s unclear if they will take the stage together, the song is supposed to be a part of Miley’s upcoming album.
MEGHAN TRAINOR, JOHN LEGEND, BOYZ II MEN, MORE TO PERFORM AT ‘MOTOWN 60: A GRAMMY CELEBRATION’: Two days after the Grammys, a slew stars will regroup for another star-studded musical event: Motown 60: A GRAMMY Celebration. The special, marking six decades of Motown Records, will air April 21 on CBS. The taping, scheduled for February 12th at L.A.’s Microsoft Theater, will feature performances by John Legend, Pentatonix, Meghan Trainor, Tori Kelly, Stevie Wonder, Boyz II Men and Fantasia, as well as Motown legends Smokey Robinson, Martha Reeves, Diana Ross and Thelma Houston, and Motown songwriters Lamont Dozier and Brian & Eddie Holland.
NICK JONAS TO RETURN FOR ‘JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE’ SEQUEL: Nick Jonas is set to reprise his role in the sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Nick portrayed Alex/Jefferson “Seaplane” McDonough, who had been stuck within Jumanji for 20 years before being discovered by The Rockand crew. Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan, as well as the teens from the film, will all be returning and reprising their roles. Awkwafina has also joined the cast of the film, set to be released on December 13th.
TAYLOR SWIFT WILL NOT ATTEND GRAMMYS: It doesn’t look like Taylor Swift will be at the 2019 Grammy Awards this weekend. It is being reported that the 29-year-old entertainer has decided to skip the awards show where her album reputation is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, Variety reports. Rumor has it Taylor may be attending the 2019 BAFTA Awards in London – which is on the same day as the Grammys – to support boyfriend Joe Alwyn, but it has not been confirmed. Taylor has been in London the past few weeks filming the upcoming movie-musical Cats.
