FBI LOOKING FOR MAIL LEADS IN JUSSIE SMOLLETT ATTACK: The FBI is working with the Empire team to track down leads in the Jussie Smollett case, TMZ reports. After the 36-year-old was attacked last week, it was revealed that he was sent a threatening letter prior to the assault. Sources tell TMZ that a private security company is now inspecting all incoming mail and is tasked with linking any new items to the letter Smollett previously received. The set is also getting daily security sweeps. (TMZ)
BRAVO HITS BACK AT THOMAS RAVENEL? The Blast is reporting that Bravo is trashing a suit brought by Southern Charm‘s Thomas Ravenel. The network claims his suit over unaired footage of his kids should be dismissed, arguing he didn’t have any issues with it until he was fired. Ravenel is on trial for alleged sexual assault in South Carolina and is going through a vicious custody battle with his ex Kathryn Dennis. (The Blast)
RICKI LAKE FINDS LOVE AGAIN: Nearly two years after her husband Christian Evan‘s death by suicide, Ricki Lake, 50, has found love again. “I just recently found a brilliant new love,” she shared at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Pasadena, California Wednesday. She is now dating Jeff Scult, who founded clothing brand One Golden Thread. (People)
STEVEN LEVY DIES AFTER CANCER BATTLE: Actor and comedian Steven Levy, aka Steve Bean, has died at age 58 after a battle with cancer. He performed stand-up for years and later landed roles on Quantum Leap, Shakes the Clown, Shameless and Ray Donovan. He was diagnosed with nose cancer in late 2016. He is survived by his wife Caroline Carrigan and his son, Jacob Randall Levy. (Page Six)
