Farella, Landry lead Canadian women over France at Sydney Sevens

SYDNEY, Australia — Bianca Farella scored a last-minute try and Ghislaine Landry followed with a conversion as the Canadian women came from behind and beat France 19-17 on Sunday to finish fifth at the Sydney Sevens.

Farella scored her first try of the match in the seventh minute while Landry had a ninth-minute try and two conversions.

Meanwhile, the Canadian men were topped in the Challenge Trophy semifinal by Argentina 24-19.

They earned a 25-17 win over Scotland earlier in the day to set up their meeting with Argentina.
