AMERICAN BEAUTY STAR THORA BIRCH ASKS FANS TO SEE PAST KEVIN SPACEY ‘STAIN’: As American Beauty approaches its 20th anniversary, American Beauty star Thora Birch is asking audiences to separate fellow star Kevin Spacey‘s alleged misdeeds from the film. She told The Hollywood Reporter: “You can’t help but feel, great, now we have this stain on the film. But no – it shouldn’t be on the film. Who’s to blame? It’s Kevin. It doesn’t have anything to do with American Beauty.” The Sam Mendes-helmed film earned five Oscars, including best picture, best director, best original screenplay and best actor for Spacey.

FIRST LOOK AT MISBEHAVIOR: The Miss World protest film Misbehavior has released the first glimpse of Belle star Gugu Mbatha-Raw. The comedy-drama follows the true story of the 1970 disruption of the Miss World contest by the Women’s Liberation Movement. Mbatha-Raw plays Miss Grenada, Jennifer Hosten, who was the first black woman to win the Miss World title.

CNBC MOVES INTO REAL ESTATE: CNBC is buying into the real estate game. The business network will debut three new real estate-focused shows in primetime. Listing Impossible follows a real estate agent dealing with pricey pads languishing on the market; Cash Pad is a home-reno series starring Bachelorette alums JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rogers; Five Day Business Flip features a husband-and-wife duo who revamp businesses in five days.

THE ROCK ARRIVES AT SUNDANCE FOR FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY BOW: The Rock made it Sundance for the first time to sell his passion project Fighting With My Family. The film is a triumphant tale about Norwich, UK born wrestler who worked her way up from working class rootsand went on to become the youngest Divas Champion in WWE history. Dwayne Johnson starred in and exec produced the film, which premiered to cheers. Johnson appeared at a Q&A after with reporters and said: “I knew this family so well, this was my family, we lived like gypsies, my family promoted wrestling in bars; any place you can put a ring.” Fighting With My Family, from MGM, opens on Feb. 14.
