Pink Gets A Star

Pink is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The singer will be honored in a ceremony on February 5th, with a star dedicated in the category of recording, to be placed at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Hollywood & Highland Complex.

Guest speakers will include comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres — a Walk of Famer herself – and Reno 911! star Kerri Kenney-Silver. The ceremony will be live-streamed on WalkOfFame.com.

Pink’s seventh and latest studio album, Beautiful Trauma has sold over a million copies and is nominated for a 2019 Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album.

Meanwhile, Pink is unapologetically standing by her opinions. Over the weekend, she caught some backlash after calling the Covington Catholic high school students’ behavior “appalling and beyond disrespectful” during a viral encounter with Native American elder Nathan Phillips.

Pink took to Instagram to direct any “keyboard warriors” who have a problem with her views to hit the unfollow button, which she noted is at the “top right of your screen.”

“I am the same girl I’ve always been…I was raised by a Vietnam veteran who taught me to stand up for what I believe to be right. Even if that means standing alone,” Pink wrote in a lengthy message. “I do not now, nor have I ever apologized for some of my very polarizing opinions.”

She continued: “If you are surprised by this, or offended, you have every right to unfollow me, as you really don’t know who I am. I am mostly peace and love, with a little bit of go (expletive) yourself.”

The mother of two compared the “broken” state of the country to her parents’ divorce, adding it makes her “very angry and sad.”

“We all remind me of my parents right before their divorce when they could no longer even speak to each other with anything less than hatred and vitriol. It’s tragic,” she wrote. “And we’re all to blame.”

A day earlier, Pink posted a picture of herself flipping the bird to the camera while wearing a motorcycle helmet. “This one goes out to all the keyboard warriors,” she captioned the shot.
